Best of 2006 | Alex's Top 10 | Most Anticipated of 2007

Worst of the Year
3) You, Me, and Dupree
This is why Owen Wilson should always be a sidekick. Too much talent was wasted on this ridiculously unoriginal flop.

2) Click
Not even the always funny Christopher Walken could save this muddle of predictable jokes and formula plot. Sigh, and the trailer made me so hopeful.

1) Snakes on a Plane
This movie was supposed to be so stupid that it would turn out to be funny. Instead it was so stupid that it turned out to be stupid.

Most Overrated Film
Half Nelson
Apart from the solid acting the plot was incredibly slow and the story lacked focus. It's not the "best Indie of the year" as many believe.

Most Underrated Film
Cars
Pixar nailed it again with the best animated film of the year. They continue to develop new, progressive animation and stories that can be embraced by children and adults alike.

Biggest Surprise
Notes on a Scandal
Going in I did not expect this to be my type of movie. Startlingly, I was intrigued as Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett delivered possibly the best performances of the year in this gripping drama.

Biggest Disappointment
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
The only movie this year that I thought was worth a midnight showing turned out to be a way too forced regurgitation of the original mixed with an attempt to be a stereotypical Hollywood transition movie.

Special Citation
Clive Owen
After great performances in 2006's Inside Man and Children of Men plus being smooth every time he shows up in public, Clive is now to be dubbed to the coolest actor in Hollywood.
